Northeast Minneapolis fitflops udsalg

Northeast Minneapolis

I have been to Nye's twice. The second time was a huge disappointment. Waiter was nice, but the food was bland.

The salad dressing that was made "in house" tasted like Kraft dressing. The bread was terrible and the wine seemed cheap and way too sweet.

The ambience is nice, but the building itself needs work. The women's bathroom has only two stalls. One was locked and the other was missing its door. The stall that was open, and missing its door, also had a part of the wall that was rotted out. Also, our booth had vinyl that was ripped and was scratching my back during dinner.

Sad to see such a classy joint go down hill. They need to reassess the menu or cooks and put a little care into the building.

We dined at Nye's tonight. My husband enjoyed his King cut prime rib that was truly rare as ordered and came with a nice au jus sauce.

I ordered the Pierogi and Polish sausage. It comes with 6 amazing Pierogi (2 cheese, 2 sauerkraut and 2 prune), a large mildly seasoned sausage and a large amount of sauerkraut. The sauerkraut was reminiscent of pickle brine but was above average. The salad was drenched in salad dressing so I suggest ordering t FitFlop Bon Danmark hat on the side.

The problem was service. We arrived at 4:15pm and one of the entry doors was locked (fire code violation) so we had to enter through the bar. A few booths were occupied and we were seated. Adam H. was our waiter and brought drinks and took our order. That was the last we saw of him for most of our dinner. My water was refilled only when I asked and my husband's ice tea was only refilled after we finished our dinner. It was so hot out that some beverage refills were needed.

Roxanne saved the day! I give her 5 stars!. more >We dined at Nye's tonight. My husband enjoyed his King cut prime rib that was truly rare as ordered and came with a nice au jus sauce.

Roxanne saved the day! I give her 5 stars! She noticed we had finished eating and asked if we wanted our food boxed. Then she asked if anyone had taken our dessert orders they hadn't. She brought the dessert tray and took our dessert order. In the meantime she was keeping up with her tables and Adam was still missing.

The restaurant was not busy for the first hour but then filled up. Even when it was slow Adam dropped the ball. This is an insitution and if they do not offer great service it ruins the ambiance of the retro dining experience.

The food was very good but with the prices for this restaurant if they don't up the service level to excellent, it is really not worth a visit. Hats off to Roxanne as she is one of the best waitstaff ever and has the old time customer service flair. Ask for her.

Had went here a few years ago and had a positive experience. However, tonight was bad. First, we were told there was nothing until 7:30pm for a reservation. We got there early at 6:45 hoping there would be an opening. The place was near empty why they couldn't get us in until 7:30 is beyond me. Second, they do not mention on the menu there is a $5 charge for plate splitting. Not wanting 16oz of prime rib for each of us we ordered prime rib dip sandwiches. 45 minutes later we finally saw our dinner. I have had better french dips at dives or even Applebees. There was maybe 3 4oz of beef that seemed to be slimey fat scraps. The waitress was barely around for refills. The environment may be fun on a weekend for drinking. But I was wanting a tasty dinner which did not happen. I will be trying other classic steakhouses/clubs before I would come back to Nye's.

1950's supper club decor, great Polish food (where else can you get a pickled herring appetizer that's big enough to serve 4?!), and of course the music, whether it's the piano bar, World's Most Dangerous Polka Band, or the Reggae All stars it's always a lot of fun! With their own parking lot it's a lot easier t han anyplace downtown, and you just have to step out the door for a fantastic view of the river and sky scrapers. Every time we've been there, we always have plenty of leftovers to take home for later, and the service has always been friendly. I like Polish food, so we've almost always loved our food; once we had a "special" that was a bit of a flop, so they were nice enough not to charge us for it. The prices are a bit spendy, so we save it for a special night out, but it's always worth it!

Does anyone really go there for the food? They don't understand Vegetarians here and cook your special ordered food in Bacon fat. After taking our first drink orders and bringing us our drinks, the server never checked on us again the entire time we were there (even though our table was right by the bar and the server walked by us every few minutes to grab drinks for her other tables). It was hard to flag her down because she never bothered to look over in our direction and the music/chatter level was pretty high. We finally had to go to the bar to try to close our drink tabs.
